A year ago, I sat down with a pen and my journal and wrote down my goals for 2019. Some were the traditional New Year’s resolution-type goals of exercising more and eating better, but I also wanted to accomplish some specific goals I’d been putting off for a long time (launching Simquily.com being one of them!). As we begin another year, and I prepare to write down my goals for 2020, I’d like to highlight a few of my favorite things that proved quite useful in working toward my 2019 goals, both big and small.
For the Home
HEMNES Shoe Cabinet
This shoe cabinet has traveled with us to several different homes and apartments. And no matter where we lived, whether we had a large master bedroom with room to spare or only a small nook in a hallway, this HEMNES shoe cabinet from Ikea has proven to be a wonderful storage solution that is stylish and sleek. And in 2019, I successfully managed to successfully organize most of my shoes in this one cabinet!
For years, I’ve been telling myself that I would read through the Bible. Yet, year after year, I’ve allowed the busyness of life distract me from this goal. However, in 2019, I got further than I ever have before thanks to this ESV Bible App. It offers a ton of Bible reading plans, one being “Through the Bible in a Year.”
If you, like me, prefer a looser fit for your workout attire over the popular spandex pants that are so popular right now, I encourage you to check out these Tek Gear workout pants from Kohls. They’re quite stylish and incredibly comfortable.
I love this app! Whatever your wellness goals might be—whether they’re to lose weight, maintain your weight, or simply become a more conscientious and healthy eater—this Weight Watchers app is a great tool that offers a variety of memberships. Tip: Find a friend or family member who will join you on your wellness journey. A bit of accountability and a lot of encouragement go a long way!
While it might sound like a small jet plane taking off, this Ninja blender makes one smooth smoothy! My husband and I were gifted this for Christmas a few years back, and we have really enjoyed using it to make smoothies for breakfast.
