In the Word: Kindness
June 2020
/
Kindness, like so much else, originates with God. Kindness is part of God’s nature. Isn’t it cool that God brings His characteristics into our lives by His Spirit? It amazes me that He bothers with us at all, but that’s who He is—the God Who Bothers.
For this reading plan, I recommend using the NIV translation, which uses the word kindness in translation two times as much as the ESV. Many of these verses are found in larger contextual narratives, so I encourage you to read the surrounding verses if you have the opportunity.
